The Artists.................

James Hutchinson
James Hutchinson, the artist. A man of many artistically creative facets. A man with the ability to capture the beauty and romance of nature. A man with a creative depth that is unique. To know Hutchinson is to understand the artistic talent which flows through his hands and creates, and why he is truly a master of his craft.
Jim's family moved to Florida when he was a young boy and he grew up on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River in Stuart. He has always been a student of nature and has an eye of one who understands and loves our spectacular land and its inhabitants. Hutchinson's appreciation of nature and desire to learn from the people who lived and worked in the wilderness during early history led his artistic creativity in a direction of intense study of the Seminole and Miccosukee Indian tribes of Florida. In his early years, Jim accomplished a pictorial record of the Seminoles and their culture. These paintings traveled the state in the 70's and many now reside at the Historical Museum of South Florida.  They are truly a masterpiece treasure for our State.
Over the years, Jim's work has been collected all over the world from Florida to France to Norway and beyond. His exquisite detail and play of light have produced masterpieces depicting the Florida landscape of old. His landscape are a reminder of what it used to be in Florida...when the sun would rise over the open marsh with the morning haze hovering over the flat land like a safety blanket.

Kevin Hutchinson
As the oldest son of Jim and Joan, Kevin grew up around creative people in a world of adventure and imagination. Born and raised in Stuart, Florida, Kevin would spend many days wondering the back woods of the area or the waterways. It was a child's dream to wake up to the sounds of the river lapping on the shoreline, throw on a pair of shorts, maybe flip flops and head out the door each day to a new adventure. It was in these early years that Kevin captured the memories of our beautiful state. He also developed a love of the water and the freedom that it gave him.
After graduating from University of Hawaii, Kevin returned to Stuart for a short stint before heading to Maine for yacht design. Stuart eventually called him back home and he landed a job working for a boat design and graphic design firm. Then, he met Mary...the woman of his dreams (not really at first but I'm the writer so I'm making it sound good......) One thing led to another and soon, Kevin's art career was off the ground.
Kevin has the ability to sweep you off  your feet and into one of his paintings for a little mental vacation from the crazy world of today. You can look at one of Kevin's paintings and feel the breeze gently move your hair as it moves the palm fronds or you feel the sun on your skin as it sets over the river.  Kevin captures the brilliant colors of our world in a way like no other. He has become a master in his own right.
Kevin and Mary live in Stuart with their two dogs, Hoko and Tippy and Maggie, the cat.
